Someone help find me a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Islander
I'm a bit of a savant in finding vehicles for friends, family, etc. However, I'm striking out with this particular find and am asking the collective to lend a hand. If someone enjoys a good hunt, here are the specs.
I'm specifically after a 2010 Jeep Wrangler "Islander": -White preferred, but Blue will work if it's great condition. -Auto trans, 2-door. -Clean history, nice condition, not rusted. Stock! I don't want one lifted with stupid light bars and wheels. -Prefer under 100k miles. PM me if guys have a lead on one. I'll buy one anywhere and ship it to me in SC. Thanks! |
First google for "2010 jeep islander" popped up 3 on carfax.com as listings...

Search Tempest is a good tool.

Finding an unmodified 13yo Jeep is a tall order, your search is further hampered by the fact that the Islander is an appearance package and may not come up on search terms.
I did find one but I think the mileage will be a real issue. The bumpers are easily found to restore it to original and this one looks like it lost the decals along the way. https://www.carfax.com/vehicle/1J4AA2D16AL178165 Curious, why this particular package? |
Id10t, I know how to use google, but your reading could use some sharpening since I'm hunting a white or blue Jeep. 2/3 are not white/blue. And the white one in question has been in an accident, so not a clean history, which is also on my list. I'd suggest taking the time to read before trying to make someone feel like an idiot.
LWJ, thanks for the constructive suggestion. I'll give it a go. Wilnj, I hear you with it being a tall order. Reason as to why I posted here to see if anyone could kick one up that I've missed in my dozens of internet searches across every major car website and Facebook, nationally. I did look at this one a couple times, but decided against it. There isn't much special about the Islander besides the blue interior, but this is for my wife, and she likes the Islander so I'd like to find her one. Worst case, we don't get an Islander, or I buy the seat covers from Jeep and "convert" one. |

Are you interested in a red Chevy Blazer?
Just trying to help :D |
Stevej37, ha, I think I can get by without one.
KC911, I'll soon regret this, but I'll pass for now on the blazer. |
How about Silver?
Are you getting a finders fee? If so, I would like 1/2 please - not kidding. https://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/cto/d/seabeck-2010-jeep-wangler-islander/7606072426.html |
LWJ, blue or white, buddy, but I really appreciate the effort.
I think this thread has inspired me to just stick with searching myself... it's like talking to a bunch of old guys who only listen to half of what you say, then try to tell you what to do, like you haven't put any consideration into anything prior to taking action. Internet 1, BBTurbo 0. |

The options for customizing a JK Wrangler are nearly limitless and relatively low cost so your can make it just right for her. |
Wilnj, yep, I agree and have researched this to death, too, so I know exactly what you're talking about. Thanks again.

Anyone know how to roll back an odometer?
https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Used-2010-Jeep-Wrangler-Islander-4WD-t64527#listing=355132323/NONE/DEFAULT 15k over. Which when you think about it, on a almost 14 year old Jeep, is only 1000 miles a year. Never mind, it's a manual |
FB has a bunch. Search for 2010 Jeep islander.
Yer miles are high, but it’s white as a forinstance - https://www.yourdealautomotive.com/vdp/19944386?fbclid=IwAR16BVk7OCR-wJv0SKpPEGgNmui9tUPkLB9JYiLuq1ft-Prp853UZm-P5BY |

I found one that meets your requirements, except it has different wheels and tires, and may have a small lift.
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/114294324938737 Edit: It has a lot of mods, maybe not what you're looking for, but only 55k miles. Here's one in SC, but 117k. Matches all other requirements. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1304239937103260 Found one more: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=674020741 Not sure about the red grille inserts, but looks stock otherwise. There's a surprising number of Islanders with manual transmissions. Probably ran across 5 or 6 searching FBM. Couldn't find any white ones either. People must be keeping them. |
