That just came through my feed yesterday. I find stuff like that extremely interesting. I was a geology major when I started college but decided to change after i found out I didn't want to be a park ranger collecting money at the campground booth.

Very cool. I'd watch hours and hours of this sort of thing and would be happy for them to go deeper.

If it works, it works. The lower string of islands seems close enough to me, at least for birds.

So what would an elephant think of a monitor lizard? Do zoos follow the same rules?

I found it very interesting, too. I am a geologist, but not a park ranger. Good thing, because now they're more like cops, carrying a gun and everything. No thanks. Today I'm working on issues related to landslides and liquefaction.

You get all the cool jobs. I was in haven when we went out on outings up in the sierras leaning about land formations and such, but was bored out my mind in the lab dealing with rock samples. Plus, I suck at chem
