Just finished watching. Awfully dusty here right now. Something in my eyes. I suppose most of us here have family who served in WWII. This a small, but important part of the history.

Thank you for posting this important story and documentary, Marty.
There are others like it - I will post one in the next post. A few years back, I remember watching one on NOVA that was as fascinating as it was poignant.

A World War II pilot has been laid to rest in his hometown in Maine, following a complex recovery mission led by Lund University archaeologist Brendan Foley. US Army Air Forces 2nd Lt. Ernest N. Vienneau was on a B-17 bomber that came under attack in 1944, and sank off the coast of Croatia. 77 years later, he has been brought home.
