Bubble financial advisor
Porsches, watches, Hermes, Chanel handbags among other things are all in bubbles and have been on and off for decades. I wonder if a company that takes on an expert position on unique bubbles and then advises buyers and sellers is a viable company. My sense is it could be very profitable.

I believe in the concept that once everyone is talking about it, it's time to bail - be it cryptocoin, watches or fancy-azz bluejeans. (though I'll take my naked and famous denim to my grave)

a cajillion internet articles, you tube videos, etc about what car, watch, or whatever will be hot next. Tons of car brokers and aftermarket luxury dealers are happy to speculate on the next hotness. Its hard to be an expert on everything so I cant imagine an person reasonably claiming to understand more than a few fields.
Personally, Id stock up on Vipers, s2000s, mits evos, 80s mercedes or any manual Mercedes. I think watches have peaked if you are sitting on a hoard or Richard Mille, royal oaks or PP Nautilus I'd sell.

Buy the rumor, sell the news. It’s all speculation, I’d be hard pressed to think someone could make a living advising others on what the next fad might be.
Saw a video on watches worn In Miami at the GP this past weekend. Can’t imagine walking around with 1/2 a million on my wrist but then again, I’ve never paid more than $100 for a watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by wilnj; 05-09-2023 at 08:11 AM.. |

Forecasting, pushing via influencers and taking advantage of the ebb and flow of bubbles is part of the business model.

Someone told me a long time ago that cash has no utility unless it is spent. Just funny butt-wipe, post-apocalypse. Tangibles might be the way to go for a while: real estate, gold & silver buried in the back yard, some nice toys, etc. Hope that their value outpaces inflation. As usual, depends on where you buy, when you buy, and what you buy.
