Chrome (the bummer)...
I'm getting tired of the problems....might ditch the chrome and go with ???
|
|
^^^I might try that one tomorrow.
|
The thing I like about Chrome....all updates are done in the background.
No waiting to re-start the computer and all tabs remain as they were. |
Also ditch Microsoft while you're at it...
Linux Mint with the Opera or Firefox browser. |

I use Firefox most of the time. There are some sites it must have some blocking tech that just FUBARs the function I need. I sometimes have to use Edge, since it is built in and I pretty much can't delete it so it is just there.
One web site I use to read the on-line version of our local newspaper, loads some script of some sort, and Firefox will sometimes choke on it. Edge opens it right up no sweat. Most of the time I still used Firefox to read the paper as I trust it more than Microsoft. Chrome is just pure Google evil, and like G-mail, I avoid it on principal. I don't normally use Google either, I prefer Duck Duck Go. Sometime to find some things, Duck Duck Go just does not find it, and I go to Google, and there it is. So Google still works great, I just don't trust them at all. |
It's sorta like the RCA VHS vs Sony Betamax debacle.....which sorted itself out after years.
Why can't we have a standardized browser?? |
I think most of my Chrome problems are self caused.
I sometimes go a month or more before powering down. And when it starts acting weird....restarting it usually fixes it. |
