Another scooter followed me home....('90 VFR 750F Interceptor)....
 

Well......I'm going back Monday with trailer to bring home but she's paid for and I have title in hand.

37K on the clock, runs perfect, and in decent overall condition. $2,500 cash. Only a 20 minute drive away too, so that didn't hurt.

One of the petty officers had a bike like that in the mid1980s. At the time, I found it to be, astounding

Wounderful bikes, but replace the voltage regulator before it strands you.

They are the perfect size for one up touring, light and tossable with just enough hp and wonderful sound.

You should ship it up here to the PNW; Shaun is going to pick up his Ducati at the end of June and road trip it back to Mass. You guys would have a blast in the plains of Idaho/Montana/SD/Illinois etc.

I rode an Interceptor just like that for about 100 miles one Saturday morning. What a blast.

Does this one have the gear driven cams? Should have a nice growl to it.

Love the VFR and all of the innovations it brought to the table in its prime. Sound like a sewing machine. Typical Honda R&D. The RC31 was a head turner too, even shared the single swing arm design.

I had a 1988 Honda HawkGT for many years and even still have some body parts sitting around somewhere.

I had a Y2K model, the VFR800, fuel-injected, linked ABS, etc. It was like dating a girl WAY out of your league who always wanted to go dancing.

Incredible score, I had a ‘92 VFR at one time but the 1990 has some unique styling and was special. Those bikes are WAY over-engineered and will go 200k miles with oil changes. As others said, make sure that it has the updated VR and you’re good to go! Nice one.

Beautiful machine, Robert! My first VFR was also yellow. An '87 700. That year's 2 factory color options were either White or Blue. Mine was a re-painted White one. A really nice job - couldn't even tell it was re-painted.

Can’t beat it for $2500. These were well engineered if a little porky. I had a lot of VF experience, mainly 500 and 750, these sort of passed me by. The very first Interceptor I saw was at the Dallas Grand Prix, summer of 1984. Honda had a small pop up tent with two bikes underneath. I recall they looked like nothing else and were soon all over the roads of Texas.

They are the absolute sweet spot of motorcycles. I've had faster bikes, more exotic bikes, etc etc, but nothing on earth matches the balance of a nice VFR.

I always loved the VFRs, especially the 750F. Something just so right about the proportions. With the V4 and single-sided swingarm, the fact that it looked so much like a streetable RC45 didn't hurt either . . . .

That '86 was a nice bike but it had the wrong engine and it's nowhere near as good of a bike as the 1990, which was a watershed year.
