LOUDEST show I've ever been to .... Johnny Winter in a small club in Jax in the late 80s..... he was like a cat prowling the stage amped to the max ... both him and his guitar ... ears rang for two daze.

Not SRV, but went to see FZ at the Shrine one time with my friend Tim, a long haired hippy freak in a trench coat.
When it was his turn, he took his hands out of his pockets and raised them over his head for the pat down.
They didn't find the contraband.
It was in his closed hands the whole time.

I haven't thought of this incident in a long time.
