Friends have a granddaughter named Clover. Always thought that name was more suitable for a cow or a dog
The grandparents weren't too happy about it... On the other hand, she sees her name every time she opens the fridge... . http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1685130625.jpg |

This got me thinking of the name "Clive"- Clive Cussler, Clive Davis, etc.
Evidently it means "one who lives near a high cliff" |

I have the same...just an initial. My fathers was nmi for a middle name. |
Cloveetus ... and her daughter shall be Cloveetus Jr.

As in Emperor Cloveetus Erebus! |

I've posted it before but I was in Basic Training and there was a guy from Appalachia named A.V. Hanners. I asked what the "A.V." stood for and he replied "Just A.V., but my people call me Danny".
Never asked why they just didn't name him Daniel. |
And I went to school with a Penny Nichols, but that's for another thread.
|
Penny Pincher?

I went to college with a girl that had a middle initial, U, because her parents wanted to call her "Tut". |

So, what did the bullet hole look like? |

I have no reason why, as the other three of us, all have a middle name. |
Two brothers...
Wayne King and Joe king. (No joke) |
Clovis can also refer to a human civilization from several thousand years ago. The stone (flint) spear points tended to be quite large (3-4 inches long) Look up "Clovis point" for more info.
|
^^^ Yep ... I've seen some documentaries about the Clovis civilization and their spear heads before. Just never heard of anyone with that name before seeing it in that other thread.

FWIW My Ex Wife had an affair with a guy named Cletus which lead to our separation/divorce.
(- 22 years just like that!) If I ever meet him IRL I will shake his hand vigorously and thank him. SmileWavy (& yes Cletus is a Yank living in Australia ;)) |
