You guys remember when Eric posted this thread: Bought a new Subaru.
About his getting a new Subaru.
I had posted a pic of my buddy Zeke's trailer with his Subaru Ascent hooked up.
Well, Zeke took his trailer out for a test run on the highway the other day last week and came away feeling like it was a little under powered.
So, he went out and got himself a new Colorado.

Just thought I'd update you all on what's happening with him. I think he'll find it a lot more comfortable pulling his trailer.

I like the Colorado's and Canyon's. What engine did he get?

Seems they only come with one engine now, a 2.7L four that's turbo'd and given different states of tune depending on the model. He got them to toss in the highest HP/torque tune upgrade (which is usually $395) for free. So he'll have something like 410lb/ft of torque available when that's done.
He's getting running boards added too since he's vertically challenged as we say, hence the step stool you see in the pic.
Edit: Apparently this truck had been ordered by someone who decided that they really wanted a red one, and had found a red one in Kansas so they opt'd not to buy this one.
Has towing package and a bunch of other stuff on it that he would have ordered anyway so it was a 'right place, right time, good deal' type of buy.

Oh wow, did not know that. I always liked the idea of the diesel they had for it but not so much the premium for it.

It's interesting that when my brother was looking at them back in '18(?), he compared the diesel to the gas models and they couldn't pull as much, at least in the 4x4 config.
He's got a yellow, gas one that has done yeoman duty since he got it.
