Tire wear...
I'm at my third* weekend at Roebling Road on these tires and wanted to get your opinion tire wear.
You can see the left front tire has a lot more wear at the right front. Looks like maybe I need to take out a couple pounds air for the center wear and add little more negative camber for the outside wear. Thoughts? Edit. This is with 250 miles so far this weekend. Maybe it's not too bad for a 200 rated tire used two other weekends. Edit 2. I need a tire temp gauge going forward.

No idea here of the tire wear.
But for your tire temp....one of these would work great I think. I've got one similar to that but need to find it.
The type I need, has a needle like probe to go into the tire. You measure inside, center and outside temperatures. |

On another note, I set my personal best time this morning with a 1:24.28.
And two 1:25.01's. Almost got into the 1:24's. Edit. Corrected the laptop to 1:24.28

When my home track switched from Thunderhill to Gingerman last year, I noticed that my left side tires started wearing faster than the rights, as apposed to the other way around. Pretty sure that’s because Gingerman is clockwise, and T-hill is counterclockwise.
 This Thursday I’ll switch the tires from right to left to even out the wear. (FWIW, getting a proper track alignment made a huge improvement on both tire wear and handling.) |

It has been a few years since racing the 914-6 vintage car but if I remember correctly the tire wear pictured is from the suspension being too loose. The wear should be even no matter what direction you are racing. I ran those old fashion Goodyear cantilever slicks and needed the bushings and such to be replaced and some testing to make sure the tire(s) were planted correctly such that the wear was even across the tire wear surfaces. This also included anti-sway bars to prevent the inside front tire from lifting as you see many old 911s and 356s doing in tight turns.
It took me and the guys at Black Forest in San Diego to get things right and although it cost some the tire wear was even. I have a couple tires used by NASCAR (Goodyears) and they show about 30% wear due to the huge amount of negative camber in the front end and similar in the rear? John |

There's only one bushing on the front suspension right now. That's at the back of the lower control arm and is urethane. The other two points on the lower control arm or ball joints. The top of the strut is a adjustable camber plate with bearings.
I need to take a look tomorrow and see what kind of wear I got after this mornings session. Although, there might not be enough wear after one session. |

That wear looks odd. Maybe you're right that they're getting too hot and overinflating leading to the wear in the middle but... Feels like something is off. Like the shoulder wear is completely expected, but the middle-inner wear is ???
Roebling is rough on the front left, though, so CP is right to rotate frequently if you can.
