Yeah. Want the 6.5 gep n/a block or the 6.5 turbo.

Parts are also a little bit of a pita. H1 cross over but not on everything. The glow plug control boxes are stupid finicky. I have mine hardwired with a relay and push button.

They're an extremely capable platform off road. Would compare it to a tractor (as they handle like one too).

Too bad they didn't use the 6.6 Duramax engine . That would be a off road monster .

In the stock form, mine hasn't been underpowered off road. I have a new 6.5 GEP and can spin the rears on dirt roads.

The issue is too high of gearing and the fact the truck wasn't really meant to be going 70 mph on the road. Ie. Portal hubs, ect.
