Question about self driving cars speed settings

Question about the self driving Teslas, etc. - when in the auto assist mode does the driver select whatever speed he wishes like the old cruise control or does the car pick the posted speed limit or the speed the surrounding traffic is flowing at? It may have come up before but I don't recall that discussion. Thanks

Yes, you can set the speed. Also, when it detects speed changes there is a setting for the speed for it to adjust to. For intance mine is set to limit + 8% which works out pretty well for me most of the time and then can do a fine adjustment from there as needed.
