This isn't racing - it's war, where nothing else matters

196mph death wish. Can’t get by ‘em? Run ‘em off the road! Crazy stuff.
Yikes. My hands were sweating by just watching that.
Guys, this video is of a game...:D
I wondered about that. To go 200mph you'd need a liter bike and those don't even sound like 600s which would have to be pulling 16k rpm. I'm not a gamer...the quality of graphics has really advanced.
Yep it's fake/a game. I'm not a gamer either, but look at details such as the POV rider's hand movements (what little there are) do not correspond to what the bike is doing (deceleration throttle blipping and so forth).
Damn, had me fooled. But then again, I am kinda dumb.
Pretty sure this is video game footage.

It was obvious to me but I have an IT support background. |
I took it as incredible and not real, but game didn't enter my mind. Now I will never look at anything as real. What a place we find ourselves in. I guess I could do a virtual bank robbery just to see.
What's interesting is the point of view, which is not an imaginary point in space but from a virtual helmet cam. The point of view of the video adjusts just as a rider would reposition himself on the bike.
I watched a video of Russian tanks getting bombed in the Ukraine for 10 minutes before realizing it wasn't real. Made me fell kinda stupid.

Our voyeurism being exploited.

And this stuff is just the beginning...deep fakes and AI will soon completely blur the line between reality and illusion. |
