My deepest condolences to Paul and the rest of Mr C's friends and family.

I think we should be thankful that it was very fast vs how the big C can often work.

His family feels the same and are at peace (I do as well)...he contacted CV and that began the quick slide.

I am so sorry for your loss and my condolences to friends and family of Mr. Curtis. Thank you for sharing some of his life with all of us here. His memory will live on in each of us that got to know a little piece of him. You did a good thing, Sir, and were a good friend to him. Rest In Peace Mr.Curtis and God speed!!!

I don’t know why this makes me so sad. Maybe it was the pictures you used to post showing Mr. Curtis hanging out on your farm. I somehow became attached. Best wishes to his family and to you Seahawk. You were a good friend.

Yep, for whatever reason, I've been kind of expecting and dreading a post like this for a while. Every time this thread got bumped back to the top of the page, I was afraid that it was going to be bad news.

Ladies and gentlemen, I raise a glass to Mr. Joseph Curtis, a good friend to our colleague Seahawk. May his life and lessons not be forgotten.

Thanks to you Paul and everyone else including his family, friends, and Pelicans for looking out for this man of the earth. Gardeners are a special breed and Mr. Curtis will be welcomed with open arms as he passes into the next chapter.

The reason we got along so well is that when my wife and Mr. Curtis would discuss garden plans, different types of pole beans, squash and tomatoes, soil conditioning, etc., I would flee in terror, yapping all the way into the house about gardeners in general and those two in particular...

So sorry to hear of the loss of your close friend, Seahawk. I am thankful that his wife and daughter were with him when he passed. I can’t think of a better way to go than to have your closest loved ones with you.

May Mr. Curtis rest in peace where there is no more pain and suffering.

If a sense of humor is gold, it is, he was 24 caret...mostly at my expense, just the way it should be.

I will be finally attending a Mass after over 20 years in absentia. I may even sing!

I was saddened to hear of Mr. Curtis's passing. It sounds like your family brightened the last few years of his life, which is a blessing.
Paul, do you think the residents of the nursing home would appreciate a package of puzzle books and the kind of magazines I sent to Mr. Curtis? You made a comment that sounded like they were enjoying them along with Mr. C. I would gladly round up a package and send them out.
