Sorry for the slight thread hijack, but I am going to put one in for my 2 car garage. Ran into a delay last fall....elderly parent issues plus two hurricanes and two hard freezes so maybe this fall I can get her in.

Unit comes pre-charged with gas and it's a DIY system but you need to have: Vacuum pump, AC gauges, Shrader valve adapter tool (ASIN B07V3WHL9B), Understanding of High Pressure gas, Wrenches, Drill bits, Drill, Helper, Electrical knowledge and Beer.

I misread yours. $1600 was for the recent installation of our third standalone unit. The Blueridge mini-splits are about $1,650 delivered on pallet. We did our three over the last four years and I believe the costs of the units hasn't increased that much and the installation for the last one was also $1600 and Mary's she shed one was first and it was $1200 (easier physical install).

So, each install was roughly 1600 (unit)+1400 (average install to box)+$300 for running electrical to each box=$3,300 each roughly.

Hopefully that makes sense
