Any Smoking Pipe Aficionado's Here?

Some of you may recall my inquiry about how to get into my late grandfather's safe deposit boxes. Well. We got in. Now I am in the market to unload some of the smoking pipes I knew he had in there.

This one set, in particular, is kind of cool. He has five Sherlock Holmes pipes. Some of the boxes engraved 'This clollection owned by COL Fred Chalupsky.' All are 54 of 221 made in 1988. I recall putting them into the safe deposit boxes when I was a kid.

I'd like to get them into the hands of a collector or someone who would appreciate them vs me just hanging on to them. Thoughts of a good place to market them?

P.S. I have quite a few more. Some NSFW.

You might want to contact this shop. They buy & sell estate pipes. I still have some Danish hand carved freestyle Briar pipes I bought from them back in the 70's.

Thanks for this. I am meeting with a pipe guy next week, but will keep your Chicago in mind as well.

This is my father's collection of pipes and his humidor. He died thirty plus years ago, and this is actually the only thing I have of his. We were never very close, but I'll never part with this humidor and pipes. Some have the wear marks from his teeth from years of use.

Different pipes, of course, but I have a very similar rack/humidore setup here. It was good to switch pipes, giving them rest periods. Cool keepsake, Marv...although I don't suggest taking up the habit.

A little round piece of porous clay inside the lid, Marv? That's to keep damp, giving the tobacco a bit of humidity. Is the yellow stem pipe a Meerschaum?
