Hey get this! I fired a staff member on Tuesday and she poured brake fluid on my car wednesday!! *****. I guess you never know anyone.

Hey, I'm just surprised she knew brake fluid would eat paint. Wouldn't most use paint remover?

Vandalism sucks...are you sure that it was the ex employee?
I had a psycho ex girlfriend who smashed a pumpkin over the hood of my new Acura, back in 94. I know it was her because I heard her voice and her girlfriends laughing outside that night, but she never knocked on my door so I went back to bed. It was autumn, around Halloween.... it was actually funny seeing that orange pumpkin strewn all over my new white car. Insurance took care of the new hood. |

that you should worry about....it's her biker boyfriend that teached/learned her that one from the trailer court. You just f'ed with his beer money!
That should be your current consern. I hope that you have (at least photographed this) and reported it to your local police department. At the very least you have created a file as to the damage to your car. All documention and photo's will be helpfull to your side of this. Paint it and she/he will hit you again. Document this stuff for future reference. Safe is as safe does, and if I am wrong, you will have more pics of your car later..like that sucks. Shawn.

Be Happy for small favors
If she knew about brake fluid, be glad she didn't open the fuel
door and insert many nasty fluids. Paint is cheaper than rebuild. Echo the suggestions about documentation. Hope she never finds my place. (Also in Louisville.)

As others have said, start with a police report. You may or may not be able to nail her for it criminally speaking, but w/o getting the police involved right away you do not have a chance. The cops see this *****e all the time, you'd be surprised how often the stupid wench will just break down and admit to it. Just for the oportunity to tell her side of the story one more time.
You definitely want to press charges if possible, and cap it off w/ a civil lawsuit, which is an option even if criminal charges are not filed by the D.A. Win or lose, this is how you punish someone the legal way, and believe me it will hurt. To hell w/ her B.F., that is all the more reason to keep things in the legal arena and documented. BTDT, the right and wrong way. Good luck.

I've also heard that brake fluid on the paint causes sympathetic engine trouble. I think she needs to pay for a rebuild or 3.6 swap while she's at it...

Unless you see her actually in the act of pouring brake fluid on the car you most likely don't have a case. I'd still report her to the authorities. She may have more in store for you.
If she's stupid enough to do this I hope she's stupid enough to use your company as a reference when applying for her next job.
