I watched for a season and a half. It got way creepy for me. That Superman guy is like nails on a chalkboard.

I met a guy that loved the show and thought homelander was awesome. He didnt realize that homelander was the bad guy. That was funny.

Not saying another season cant be good but i mostly fast forwarded through season 3. Better than avengers which wasnt even worth a fast forward.

The corpo / hr / superhero thing got old, and i thought the protagonists were really annoying.

That's funny, I went to a movie with a buddy once and when we were leaving the theater he said "I felt sorry for that guy". I initially thought he meant the unjustly murdered innocent guy, no - he meant that he felt sorry for the murderer. We later had a falling out, he was just too weird to hang out with.

This research, conducted by Derek Rucker, a professor of marketing, and graduate student Rebecca Krause, suggests that, unlike with real villains, when fictional villains are more similar to us, we actually feel more attracted to them.

what is funny is that sympathetic villains is not supposed to be something we cheer for.

its supposed to be a message that we could have decided to be villains. and that villains in real life, have reasons for what they are doing, often with laudable goals. and that spotting villains in real life is trickier than you might think.

homelander is a great example.

it's not about superheroes. it's about hollywood celebrities.

millar's basic point is that heroes behave like hollywood celebrities and need to be killed because of that. and his true stroke of genius is that he got hollywood celebrities to fund it.
