Yep, really horrible.

Many years ago my bosses boss killed his wife and himself in the fourth of July. They left behind a daughter in college and two sons in high school. It's hard to understand, but I understand that when a person gets to the point of murder and/or suicide most normal folks won't understand actions or motivations.

Police believe Johnson’s mother-in-law killed her husband and her grandson before killing herself at a home in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

If you're going to commit suicide, why take out other people? Especially a child. That's heartbreaking.

Something else was going on with her... mental illness, alcohol, etc.

Well there's relatively few level-headed, well planned suicides but your point is still well taken. Sad stuff

I'm going to guess psychoactive drugs and loss of authority status were the motivation.

I loath hearing about stuff like this... People are dead. Freekin awful and we'll never really know why.
