Home made Norwegian 917 (street legal recreation)

This is freakin' awesome! I may be willing to trade a testicle....

I thought that guy looked familiar at the beginning, then the hat threw me a little

The rhythm and tone of his speech is almost annoying enough for me to skip the videos, but not quite. And I don't understand the dread lock thing. But I suspect he's a cool guy, and would be interesting to chat with.

But man, a 917 look-alike with a twin turbo short stroked 3.6 (3.3L) weighing (i think he said) 1000kg (1600#) would be an enormous hoot to drive.

That is really something special. The idea that this guy planned and executed a project like this to completion is just over the top; My hat is off to Knut for sticking with it for 10 years. All three of those skills (plan, build and finish) I could only dream of having, if I'm honest.
Magnus was a great interviewer, too. He asked questions that enthusiasts want to ask, and he let Knut give full and complete answers. He (Magnus) was also able to give a pretty good idea of what the experience was like. 300 km! Knut is a very generous host, and I'm sure that sauna at the end was a necessity, not a luxury.
Thanks for posting this. As always, I'm awed by the size of the 917. So low, so tiny.

These are a little shocking every time I see one even though I've seen them before.
