I think that most people do not realize how huge tourism is in Los Angeles, I’m pretty sure that it’s the biggest industry in town. Bigger than Hollywood, tech, etc. |
One of the oldest restaurants in LA:

I hate to say this, but its if between Pie and Burger or Danny's. I take Danny's all day long over Pie and Burger. There's nothing special about their food but an old 50s dinner where everything is still 1950. How often do you come in this far east? You westsiders do not like to cross LaCienega |

I do remember that bike place...very high end... was always visiting the candy store next door. A few more suggestions: Huntington Garden is amazing. Grab lunch at The Hat before you head over there... https://thehat.com/ Cool German pace is Silverlake https://www.redliontavern.net/ |

The Hat is good stuff. I think coffee is still $.35 a cup just like the old days. After a pastrami burger, a two to three mile run is necessary to clear that out of your system. This place is truly amazing because there are so many types of foods to chose from and so many places to visit. One can spend 3 solid months just to see the city of LA then there are the cities near by waiting to be explored. |
There's the Regan and the Nixon libraries. They are both worth visiting if some of you are interested that stuff. Walking through Air Force one or getting in Marine 1 is a real treat. They are a bit out of the way ouotside of the city of LA or LA county. Nor far, only an hour away from the city center

Rent a Mustang and go to a C&C?

Shoot. I didn't recall this until last night (Friday night): Good Vibes Breakfast Club. An unofficial cars and coffee. Friday mornings at Newcomb's Ranch up in Angeles Crest. What makes this C&C special is the drive: 26 miles in, 26 miles out. But Newcomb's (former restaurant) is closed, so BYO Coffee.

Little late as Jon is packing his bags or already has.
