I received a PM containing an incredibly generous offer. I won't say who sent it or what it was but it truly moved me.

Given the vitriol that so frequently gets posted here I wanted to let you all know that thoughtfulness and kind gestures are not entirely absent in this space.

Dude, I offered you some purple pills. It's not that big a deal. Plenty of older guys use them.

Yeah, of all the sites I have bought and sold at, this one has screwed me many times. I don't buy and sell anymore and that's because of the total amount of f-overs from all sites combined. Pelican was tied with CL until Nextdoor came along.

A long time ago I asked a question here about burning VHS tapes to DVDs. I hadn't been here long and I wasn't well known, but Scott loaned me the gizmo to do the conversions.
I knew then that I was in the right place.

Purple being a mix of red and blue might mean a middle of the road kinda thing. Maybe.

Despite heated discussions here and in PARF (ask Denis) I’ve never experienced anything but a brotherhood kind of culture here. As such, it’s not surprising you experienced the same Flatty. Kudos to whoever gave you warm fuzzies.

Don't get me started. In addition to priceless advice and knowledge, I got a free 1978 Honda CB750K from Aaron (BlueSkyJaunte) and had only to pay shipping.

Oops. There is more. I got a free quality eyepiece from Steve (Masraum) recently, which I appreciated very much. I didn't even pay postage. I figure I owe Steve a beer and i sincerely hope to pay up one day. Not because of the eyepiece. Because of his excellent posts.

I've made many friends here, and bought beers for some of them, which has always been a great pleasure. More recently, I've met Shaun and the Portland contingent and would LOVE to sit with them again.

My mom told me when I was young that ethics and loyalty would always be a major thing for me, and she was right. I have found those characteristics here, many times, in spades.
