A while ago. Got up at 1AM to watch a manned flight take off but it got aborted. Couple of days later, this unmanned one was taking off.

The first of two planned Starlink missions tonight. Another Falcon 9 will launch from California at 12:01 a.m. PDT (3:01 a.m. EDT). Too cloudy to see it tonight but got a descent rumble!

This was the 13th flight for the Stage 1 booster, which made a successful landing on the drone ship.

So cool.......:)

While maybe being english over-analysis, the headline reads "Crashes INTO the moon",

Wouldn't it be "Crashes ONTO the moon?"

guess it depends on how deep the crater was after it augered in..... :(

sad to see any space program fail.

Maybe I should convert my boxster to run on oxygen and hydrogen. It'd be perfectly green and probably be fast!

H2 and O2 is where we'll probably end up after all this highly polluting and inefficient lithium goes out of fashion. That or e-petrol.

I was happy to see Russia's latest rocket fail. Hopefully will help to deflate Putin's ego a bit.

Next up is India trying a soft landing on the moon with a probe.

Space is hard. It is just astonishing when you look at what NASAA did in the 1960s with slide rules, primitive computers and a large budget. They had to invent the technology, build the infrastructure, and invent new manufacturing processes from scratch. When Kennedy set his goal too land men on the moon withing the decade, we had only made one sort suborbital flight. Just up and right back down and he said we should go to the moon!

Crank up your subwoofer! :)

Super Heavy Booster 9 static fire successfully lit all 33 Raptor engines, with all but two running for the full duration. Congratulations to the SpaceX team on this exciting milestone!
