Lots of people bought at the right time. None of my 911's were expensive by today's standard.

Yes, I bought my 911SCs in the Carerra in I think 05.

I was at my local Porsche/Audi/Mercedes indy yesterday (Poudre Sports Car) to shoot the bull and talk about welding the coolant pipes this fall/winter on my 997 and they were extremely busy. He said he is basically booked out with work.

We actually discussed this and he is seeing younger guys coming in wanting to learn the trade. He was upset because one of his best guys is graduating from the University of Wyoming with a Mechanical Engineering degree and moving away.

He was actually trying to talk me into this RSR type car with a 3.6 he is selling. That's what I need, another car lol.

Our dealership has a "Motors in the Morning" event once per month. At the last one, one of their new young mechanics came out to see my car. He said he it wanting to learn all about the air cooled cars.

I was encouraging him that there will always be a need for air cooled mechanics as, it takes some thinking and diagnosing skills to figure out what is wrong. With no OBD2 port, the car will never let you know except with symptoms.

Its only gonna be an issue if we're still allowed to drive our old ICE cars anywhere ;-) You don;t need to repair something that was legislated off the road by politicians that know better.
LOL, ducking now, it's a joke (we still have horses and vets after all)..

Thinking of a lot of cities making it harder everyday... on the flip side sounds like some folks are starting to realize the push to all electric cannot happen... Yippee. Interesting times - I bet we devolve into a post apocalyptic society before that's an issue, at this pace.
