MISSION IMPOSSIBLE - & Tom Cruise!

IMO if not the best, one of the best movies series of all time.

There's are lots of good series but it's much better than Bond and that's sayin something!
Dare I say even better than Star Wars? (ducking with a flame suit on)

I grew up watching Tom Cruise movies and I've never been disappointed with any of his performances.
And the only other actor that comes close is Mr Denzel Washington! (I didn't like "Fences".)

(I know that some people here consider Tom Cruise's religious convictions as dubious. I have an opinion on the Church of Scientology but I wont express that in "Off Topic". I've always focused on Tom's work not his private life... If you want to make such comments please start a new thread in PARF.)

His role as the hit man in Collateral was really, really good. Magnolia as well..

I have always liked the MI theme music too. Yes this is a great series of movies. I think his best work was in Last Samurai.

Love all of his movies. Collateral, Minority Report ,Jack Reacher, etc. as well as the mega movies.

I have not seen the Fred Grossman flick yet. Soon maybe.

Legit, all of them are really good movies but the introduction of the blue pills in "The Bourne Legacy" movie seemed a bit "not right" IMO. However both Jeremy Renner & Rachel Weisz did really well.

Another great movie with and a very young Penelope Cruz. (in 2001 she was 27 years old)
Cameron Diaz also made a stand out performance.

I prefer the original Spanish film, Abre Los Ojos. Also with Penelope Cruz.

Oh and before I forget... Ms Rebecca Ferguson.

She's older than the typical Hollywood lead (she's now 37) and I'm really glad they cast her in the last two movies.

^^^ True. Really good movie. Best part for me was I never heard of it. Was flipping through the stations line up one day and decided to give it a try. Never expected much from a movie I never heard of.

Just imagine how long he spends in the gym EVERYDAY to look like that!

And everything he eats would be weighed, logged and the prepared by his chef.
No snacks or sweets in the house and nothing "white" would be on the menu. (no rice, potatoes, pasta, bread etc.)

I doubt he would even have nuts or beer. Maybe some Scotch, Vodka or red wine for special occasions.

"Taps" was a very good movie. I'd describe it as well made and memorable.

Tom had a smaller roll but his demise was epic.

Say the first MI. I liked it. Hated the second one and lost interest in the series after that. As a default, I'm not much of a fan or Mr. Cruz or Lord Xenu.
