Convertible cover shrank

I threw my cover in the wash. Done it many times. Cold water, gentle cycle, air dry.

All snaps line up except two. They are adjacent to each other. I can get one to snap onto the Tenax post, Then the text one won't stretch far enough. Swapping snaps results in the other snap not fitting.

I tried using water with a spray bottle and a soft jawed pair of pliers. Gap very close. I don't want to Fubar it.

Any hints, BTDT episodes?

Strange that it didn't come out as usual. My new top on the Boxster was so tight that I couldn't latch it. I WAS told to leave it in the sun. Over a year It stretched to normal/tight. Never see the light of day anyway.

If heat doesn't help, IDK what to say. You're right that you can rip it and it's done. Hair dryer?
