Cool story. Nice job to you and your wife.
There have been some scary nasty neighbor threads here. This one's refreshing. You are not going to change her and she was operating out of her "knitting silo" wrt the $25. I guess they can lose track of quid pro quo. I hope I have neighbors half as generous as you if I make it past being a functional senior. Quote:
Chocolate / peanut butter cream or cheesecake? Don't remember. Dense but not so rich you could not put down the whole piece after dinner. Divine. (not keto) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1691062506.jpg |
It's been my experience that if you're the guy that has a garage full of tools, and if you're a pleasant person, there will be no shortage of people who ask you to help them out from time to time. At the old house, it was Dorothy who had me on speed-dial, in my current place the main culprit is Bill. Sometimes it's not convenient, but how can you say no. It'd be like saying "I can't" to your elderly mom or your great great uncle. Or even just a friend. If I can help, I try to be of assistance.
(But the anecdote about needing the 25 for the gift of a handmade hat is definitely a high water mark!) |

Here is the hat. :). Not bad for $25! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1691092400.jpg |
Not bad at all! You and the missus can fight over it this winter.

she actually made me one as well, but I'm out of cash. ;)
