I like to row the gears in my E46, but after shifting a four-speed in my 930 for years, I sometimes forget about gears 5 and 6. Around town, I like to drive in 3rd and occasional 4th. I like to hear the exhaust.

HA! I learned to drive stick in a WWII (no synchros) surplus jeep. After that, everything was easy-peasy.
(edit) I thought it's owner was joshing me when he said he took it out of a crate. I later found out he wasn't. That's how the Govt. sold them after the war...shipped them out in the crates used for ones destined for overseas military use.
