It’s very funny.

I always wonder if it if from watching too many situation comedies on TV. They all have the dumb person to ask a dumb question, and almost every reply is a funny line. Watch almost any new or old sit com, and the replies are designed to make you laugh.

As my Dad use to say "if you can't say something nice about someone, don't say it."
He wasn't very good at following his own advice and better at enforcing it.

Eric, the level of snarkiness you show some mouth breathing hillbillies you will never meet, Moe and Ron, pales in comparison to the stuff my wife or daughter, both nurses, have said to doctors, or even worse, the stuff my daughter has said to residents. Trust and believe you are sweet as a jelly donut

Sure, for that guy, occasionally. Stupid people are a burden on everyone else, frequently.

Dad said you learn more listening than you do talking. He always told me to write things down to help compose my thoughts, if I had something to say, refine the message.

I try not to say mean stuff. Does not cost anything extra to be nice, and people always look so surprised when you are, must not happen as much as it should

A couple of decades ago the dairy I was working for as an area manager and sales representative was set to introduce a line of calcium fortified beverages. When the new packaging was revealed to us, I was aghast. The colors selected screamed bile and sickness to me. I couldn't believe these were the actual colors we were using to go to launch and expressed my dismay.
Shortly after my boss took me out of the conference room and said, "Les, if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all."
They didn't want truthful input. They just wanted us to see what we had to sell.
I think that was when I realized I didn't belong there.
The product tanked.
None of us were surprised.

Best
Les
