They don't get much bigger than that! Those cases are worth some money. I wonder what other accessories came with it, looks like the prior owner bought quality.

Problem with motorcycles is one is not enough. That's your big cruiser. Now you still need the around town bike...

You should be able to buy a low seat for that if you decide you need it.

I got tired of the tip toeing at stops, traded my S1000XR for an R1250RS earlier this year, which is basically the more modern version of the R1100S and the R1200S... I can flat foot that bike, where the S1000XR was taller and also top heavy.

I think all the liquid cooled GSAs have the windshield adjustment knob. I run the stock screen and it's pretty good. If I'm doing more adventure type stuff, I'll swap it out for a much smaller screen. It sucks at highway speeds, but I like it much better if I'm standing up doing more dirt stuff. I had an off in the dirt and ripped the stock screen right off. (Love zip ties)

Screen protection depends so much on rider/ torso height. Buddy of mine added one of those visor things on his windshield and he loves it.

Thanks for the response. I agree the GS is damn good at almost everything. I was really torn between a particular '18 GS1200 and my '17 SDGT - both used of course. The 2 deciding factors for me were I won't be riding in the dirt and second the SDGT is a bit of a unicorn around here and it has a more sport touring vibe to it where is GS is an adventure tour bike. Again the GS is amazing, I have about 300 miles on one and loved it.

To me the GSA is just a bit too big and I don't really need the extra range. My GSA riding buddy says the bike has some geometry and suspension changes to the regular GS and loves his.

Your GSA is very similar to my favorite color package. If I were to get a GS this would be the one! Ride safe!

That's the color of mine, but my wheels are black.

Years ago my brother asked me to meet him at Blockbuster. I show up and he's sitting there on a Mandarin GS1150. He needed me to keep it at my house until he told the wife.

Your buddy is right. A lot of people don't know that and assume they are the same. I prefer the handling of the GSA as well.

I'm about to leave for 9 days of riding in Spain on a GSA. Can't wait.

Oh man, so jealous. I've looked into renting in Germany vs. shipping my bike there and back, and I just can't make the stars align. The next time I have time to do it, it's too cold there. They get a much shorter season than we do in AZ.

Thanks Java. A couple other buddies of mine are riding in Italy right now. I believe they rented their bikes from a place in Florence. They used this guy last year as well with no issues. I will reach out to them and get some contact info for ya.

I had already booked my Spain trip with another couple buddies thru Edelweiss otherwise I'd been in Italy with them.

That's a good one! Cam head I think. Less messing around with the valves. Beautiful bike in its own way.
