Help

The ignition key in my Cayman often comes apart, the key blade from the key fob, which I don't like. It's awkward to get it back together.

Is there a easy fix for this, is it possible to glue it together? I'm stumped.

Help please !

Snarky. I'm sure you're perfect.

Perhaps I should have said the blade comes OUT of the fob and then its a fumble to get it back in place,

Why not buy a new fob case and swap the board & blade over? (assuming your current one is worn out causing the issue)

That's the only way I can get the grease out under my fingernails!!!!
(I'm also stressed my key fix won't hold?) btw- does the volvo extended warranty cover remote keys battery covers? (or lee press on nails?) :)
:)

Leaky... Looking at that photo of your thumb, it's obvious to me your nail was cut short not bitten.

All the best!

(Remove the 5lbs of other keys and flashlights attached to it also. Good for the column switch.)
Er, sorry to be snarky heh heh.

Sounds like a new case might do it without any further info or pics. Should be a board with switches under the case buttons, a key pivot and release, and a spring inside. A little WD40 and very thin filler material (Al foil strip?) might seat the plastic clam shell screws a bit better if they are stripped and getting loose. Go easy with that plastic. With locks I try to tighten/lube/work it back and forth slowly to find the problem. The new ones are pricey but it's good to have an extra just because.

The obvious answer, get a new Cayman.
