Tires look new. Warranty?
|
Yes, they're under 5,000 miles. Definitely manufacturer defect.
|

What brand is the tire? Did you get a new one?
|
Looks like a BFG all terrain. Not a cheap tire.
|
Maybe a Goodyear Wrangler. I don't know. Can't think with this headache right now.

BFG all terrain not all they are cracked up to be. I think General grabber is better. Bfgs tend to fail for no apparant reason. Break belts, splt sidewalls, odd wear patterns ect.

Time to go with some highway tread for the truck. |
(at the risk of getting flamed)
One word for off road tire... "Coopers". Years ago I ran a full sized SUV across remote South Australia for work. And I mean proper desert. Sealed roads out there are very rare. Think big rocks and gravel, mud, ruts for miles, whatever. In more than 8 years on the road I never had one issue related to tires. From Coppers Australia web site. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1694057138.jpg |
I chipped a set of bfg ko2 and they would not warranty them. Coopers sound nice, but I'm don't think they warrant the premium. I'll run off brand 10 ply tires and chain up if the mud/snow gets too bad. This truck will eat a set of tires in 20,000 miles.
