2 hour special On CNN Monday night. We found it to be really interesting (I'm also old enough to remember listening to him on AM radio back in the 50's). He certainly led a very interesting life.

He really kicked out the stops. I was so naive at that age (9 or 10) I didn't understand the full message of his persona. I was in my 20s when I realized what "Tutti Frutti" was all about.

We watched it and thought it was very good. I always thought LR was a cool cat. He used to appear frequently on The Merv Griiffin Show and was a real hoot.

LR was truly an innovator of rock & roll.

I was right there with you Patrick... no clue as to what it was really about for years. He had to really change the original lyrics to get the record made. Ironically, some of the hip-hop today is way more graphic than that ??
