Not saying the OP did anything wrong. Just that there's two sides to every pancake.

I was actually going faster than him and signaled. He nailed it just as I started to pass.
He hit the gas before he switched lanes and we all know to only do that when your steering wheel is straight.

Great thing about electric cars is the instant torque. I am certainly more aggressive taking left turns in front of traffic in my wife’s Tesla than my s-tronic Audi.

Probably not nearly as big a deal in something like a Tesla as it would be in a mustang or 930.

You are correct. It is amazing how different the Tesla is from a Mustang. I can hit the go pedal and switch lanes with no issues.

The Boss 302 we had, would have been swerving.

My honorary nephew raves about his Chevy Bolt...no gas, cheap running, etc. I offered to race him using Cindy's Camry. He refuses...to race me from Lebanon to Burns and back. One way, a distance of 238 miles. I guess he didn't like the idea of running out of power somewhere in the high desert?

Too much digital and not enough analog

That’s quite a sweeping statement. Why not 275? 240? 125?
Wouldn’t it depend on weight, tire, suspension and a bunch of other stuff?

I mean I have a relatively light car. I think 500 is adequate - but only because it’s light…

Come on, be honest Paul. You know damn well you cant sit in a car for 238 miles without stopping at least 3 times to Pee.....;)

Probably more...But I figured I'd have more than enough time to water the sagebrush, fill up the Camry once, and still finish in much less time for that round trip. How much charging time would the Bolt need to go 474 miles? At least an hour?

(edit) My honorary nephew is among the top 5 pool players in this state...meaning, he's pretty good at calculating percentages. He'd never take that bet.

Rented a Y a year or so ago and came away amazed that there isn’t an epidemic of teslas in living rooms and the like.

I just had my first ride in a Tesla model 3 dual motor.
Scary fast.
I want one now.

Looks like I'm going to get to experience the awesomeness of Tesla soon. I'm friends with the owner of a string of gas stations here in Western Ohio. He bought a Tesla Y a few weeks ago. (Talk about irony). He's going to had me the keys or wand or light saber or whatever is used to allow one to operate it. I looked at the car (he was inside working) and I'm definitely going to need a tutorial. Looked at the door "handles" and I'm not sure I can even open the door.
From the comments in this thread it appears that you lose 100 IQ points the minute you get in. Hope I don't kill myself with it.

Took me several minutes to figure out how to back out of the parking space at the rental garage.
