THere was a guy on youtube that calculated the approximate spread of bird poop when it landed, the number of birds on earth, and the rate at which they poop. I believe the entire earths surface is covered in entirety about once every 2 years.

I was driving along on the interstate at 70 MPH and a huge flock of grackles flew over. It sounded like I was driving through a swam of locusts, but is was just bird crap. I had to use a lot of windshield squinter fluid and wiper time just to see. I had to was my car when I got home from the many hits.

If a bird poops on my car? I clean it as as soon as practical. No exceptions! No delays! - and I don't know why.

So what's the big deal? ... I can't explain it.

Bid poop will indeed etch the paint if left on there for long. I have had a few stealth bombings I did not see until the next morning when I got ready to leave. I clean off the poop, and there is a slight etching in the paint. Both my El Camino and the 911 have single stage paint, so it can be buffed out.

Yes thanks but I'm not worried about paint damage... It's something about my character or the way I was brought up.

If I can be really honest without offending: When I see a car wearing bird poo I can not help but feel disgusted in the owner because "he. she, they" doesn't care. How much effort does it take to clean off bird poo? What does the their house or the rest of their life look like?

Flock of Seagulls......

some year back in the 80's, I won tickets off a radio station and got to drink with them after the show.
