Nah, the media doesn't want to distract us. That stopped happening when the govt stopped using them for that purpose in the 40s or maybe 50s.

These days, the media will seize whatever they can sensationalize to create hysteria. My guess is that it was a slow week, so they all latched on to this as the most exciting thing around.

MMARSH can answer that definitively, but I'd say yes. When you consider how lengthy appeals can be.

Once in a while they like to just put out interesting news in addition to politics. Hard to fill every page with "Hunter" or "Trump"

This was interesting from the start with the video of him doing the spiderman on the wall escaping.. The problem was that sometimes I was interested in seeing how long he could continue eluding them, but then come back to earth and realize he's the lowest scum of the earth stabbing his girlfriend to death...
