The LV Sphere

Anyone here interested in going there?
Seems like watching the Dead without the acid.

It would be cool to see a concert there.

I don’t think just any performer would work, imho.

I'm fascinated by it. I'd love to find a webcam that's pointed at it 24/7.

Pink Floyd could rock that in a most epic manner.

That would be totally awesome!

Another Star Trek phantasy has been made manifest: Holodeck.

U2 Will be there doing shows until December; They have a deal with TicketMaster that allows them to profit from the secondary ticket market (legal scalping, AFAIC) which according to one report I read could gross them upwards of a billion dollars for this gig.

The clip that Baz posted of U2 at TLVS most likely didn't do the experience justice, (fan filmed from a phone) but it looked pretty interesting. (Technical problems for The Edge?)

I can't think of a modern singer or band that interests me that could do The Sphere justice, but I'd imagine that maybe Taylor Swift or Beyonce would probably pretty easily eclipse the U2 numbers.

( I'll bet the creatives at Cirque du Soleil or BlueManGroup could wow the crowds with the potential that The Sphere offers.)

amazing technology......watched a YouTube video of a guy that filmed the first U2 concert from all levels of seats at the venue......100 level, 200, 300, and 400 level nose bleed section was his favorite to soak in the whole Sphere experience, so don't splurge for front row seats.

Agree about preferred seats, unless you absolutely have to see the performers up close.

So is that going to show on the outside when the show is going on on the inside?

How is this not going to cause traffic jams on the surrounding streets?

Well, they'll never run out of images. So many visual things in the past have been on a loop and once you've seen it, you've seen it. The covered walk at Fremont Street was one such deal like that. IDK, haven't been there but once so it could be different now.

Planetariums are back apparently.

I saw it from a slight distance a couple months ago and it changed a few times, but I think the best one I saw was a jack-o-latern.
