Thanks for this. I usually get 5-quart jugs but needed some single quarts (I like to carry a couple in the car on long trips). They had a 6-pack of quarts for $34.49 with free shipping. I bought two. Not bad! Thanks!

I do both (Costco 6 qt box and Walmart 5 qt jug). Generally the Walmart 5 qt jug is cheaper unless Costco is having a sale.

Less packaging allows then to sell the actual oil cheaper per qt, and there is less packaging to dispose of afterwards. A good deal I guess if you are willing/able to handle oil that way/the inconvenience. I refer the 5-quart jugs (Walmart least expensive source) for home and the single bottles (Costco now the least expensive source) for travel.
