1st time out for the Honda this season

A dry 60 degree day and the salt is off the road...hooray!
Ran the Prelude up to VTEC several times in the 25 mile drive....Fun!

Not bad for a 27 year old car!

That's funny because I stopped to fill with premium and a guy two islands over came over and said "Wow, I haven't seen one of these for years"
We talked for a while and he checked out the interior.

But in the three years that I've owned my Civic SI, something like that has happened zero times.

Best looking generation of Prelude - simple elegant design, no frills.

I had an '82 (first gen, didn't like it much) and a second gen, an '89. I wish I still had the '89. Looked just like this:

^^^I agree.
I've owned two others in years past. An 85 and a 93...all have been 5 speeds. I can honestly say that of all three...I've never any problems other than recalls for air bags and key switches.

You should just give me that SI. It's no good.

I really like that car, it grows on you with the handling and the turbo.
But it's three years old and my Honda dealer has been sending me pics and trade in notices for a 25 Type R in Arctic White due in soon.

It's very tempting.

^^^ After warming it up...I pulled the CD out of the player to see what I had in there from last fall.
It was White Stripes Icky Thump....turned the volume to 45 and it was glorious.

Are new cars already on the showroom floor (or otherwise on US soil) affected by tariffs?

^^^ I don't think they would be...unless the dealer wanted to try gouging the buyer.

The Type R is made in Japan so it will surely go up in price...this one that I mentioned has already been priced, so I'm thinking it's already on land here.

Got it! Met an oncoming newest Type R last Saturday. I thought it looked great from a head-on angle but my enthusiasm subsided when viewed from the side. But I think most (not all) cars have an unappealing angle. As always, YMMV.

The last generation, was terrible with fake vents, weird spoilers, and unneeded body work. This generation is more 'grown up' and better looking...imo.

The handling, power, mpg and comfort are what makes the Type R special.
