I found a unicorn!
I found the unicorn of buggies. This bad boy was smooth, quiet, tracked straight, and made me want to shop even more!

I like the cupholder in the front.

Clearly, this one was well setup!

What? No death wobble on the front? A unicorn for sure!

Don't trust it. It's a trap.

"Buggie" implies fun - think dune buggie. "Shopping cart" means work, inconvenience, and expense. |

Unicorn, huh? I thought you were talking about the hot/crazy matrix guy.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pInk1rV2VEg We have a new unicorn in the surgery center where I work. Young, single, Kardashian-level of hotness, and super, super nice girl with a heart of gold. |

Honestly, I thought this thread was going to be about an entirely different kind of unicorn. Just sayin'....

My OCD requires that I test each cart (yes my southern born wife calls then buggies) before I enter the store. I refuse to spend that much time with one that has a flat spot on a wheel, a wobble or push straight. Usually one discard and I've got a winner if I don't pick out a good one first time.
I also hardly ever go to where they are stored preferring to grab one from the lot saving one from the lot person. Funny story: at our local chain they employ one mentally challenged lady who has been there 10 years if a day. She sweeps the aisles and looks after the carts. I think that's it, no bagging or stocking. One day she was out gathering carts and I was just finished loading the car so I aimed the cart towards her and gave it a gentle shove so she could add it in the to string. You would have thought I assaulted her. She loudly told me to never push a cart across a lane that it was dangerous. She was angry and dead serious whereas anyone else would have said thanks. I just avoid her now. Never know what's going on in a person's world in that state. Now I realize she prefers to just do her thing and not interact with anyone, bosses or customers. Hard, hard worker. |
When I was a kid, I had this idea that if I ever owned a grocery store that I would personally test every BUGGIE. My plan was to take then around the store at speed, apexing turns from aisle to aisle.
And yes my Yankee friends: they are called buggies. Here's another one for you: go love your mamaw's neck; give her some good. Translation: give your grandmother a hug |
Looks nice, but did you get a PPI?

On a related subject, what do you do with the cart when you’re done?
