Happy 25th Year Birthday!
98 Prelude and I've owned it for every year and it's been a joy to own.
![]() First pic was from last summer...Second pic from 10 minutes ago. I've been driving it every day for the last few weeks...it needs the exercise. ![]() ![]()

congratulations !
except for my 911 (almost 20 years) i don’t think i’ve ever kept a new car more than 3 years. I like my new car enough to probably keep it 25 years, and if I do that means i’ll be 77 when it turns 25. holy crap. Last edited by ramonesfreak; 11-15-2023 at 01:55 PM.. |

^^^ Thanks
I bought it new when I was 45 years old. Never thought at that time I would have it at age 70 Next year it's eligible for collectors plate. $30 for a 10 year plate. I'll be 81 when I have to renew it. ![]()

I wonder what it’s like watching Children of the Corn with that cornfield out front. Yikes.

^^^ Capt.
Thank you. Even with it's 25 year age...it doesn't feel 'dated' when driving it. The handling is excellent and the power is all I need. (The Preludes all had double-wishbone suspensions.) I do find it's easy to almost get locked out...my dd has keyless entry and start/stop button. The Prelude not.

Just two days ago, I was going to the garage and I was surprised to see a middle aged woman walk out of the cornfield onto the road. I saw my next door lady neighbor that owns the field and told her about it. She said her daughter was visiting and decided to take a walk. Everyone knows each other where I live...we keep all informed.

That is awesome. I've owned my 1997 V8 SHO since 2003 and I have my Pawpaw's 1968 Dodge D100 truck and he was then original owner so the truck has been in the family since I was 3 years old.

^^^ Your SHO is elegible for collectors plates also (if the same as in MI)
Those Yamaha engines were very overlooked. (and great)

Hard to see but is that a dog leg shift pattern?

^^^ No..it's a standard 5 speed pattern.
I left it in reverse because I had just backed out of the garage. Best feature of the Prelude...the shifter. Knife sharp...short movement.
