Quick question for anyone that uses AAP.

I am looking into making a self service portal for spinning up dev vms and would like to be able to approve/deny the request form the portal. My question is if I need to have the survey and playbook in the self service part and it won't run until approved or does the playbook go after approval?

The documentation is not entirely clear on this.
