My dad had a bowl of ice cream every night before bed. Butter Pecan from a local diary.

On occasion they would run out of the 3 pint size containers. Dad just bought a 5 pound tub that they normally use at the stores to serve up ice cream cones from. He just put it in his deep freeze.

^^^ My father was the same....except his flavor was Butter Brickle off of the Schwann's Truck.
I think he bought it in a gallon pail....which was cheaper than a half pint of Haagen Daz is now

My mom used to get Neapolitan for me sometimes. We usually got vanilla that I'd put Hershey's chocolate syrup on or if it was available chocolate chip (my favorite).


I was never a huge fan of Neapolitan, but I'd certainly easy it.

Good strawberry is actually really tasty, and I love chocolate. Vanilla is ok too.

I've never heard of it. I'll eat cherries with chocolate all day long. I don't know when/if I've ever had pistachio ice cream, but I'm game.

Yep, remember in my youth. As others have said, liked the vanilla and chocolate, but passed on the strawberry. Not much of an ice cream eater as an adult although I do like mint chocolate chip shakes.
