Sometimes there is a solution.

Using a gun is not cool, but part of me hopes that taking these things out becomes a "thing".
Neighbour has one just outside my bedroom window and I have to listen to the pump all night.

stevej37 11-30-2023 09:55 AM

^^^ There is a home about a mile from me that has at least 30 Halloween inflatables in his front yard. First week of Oct thru the middle of Nov.
The neighbors must love it.

It wasn’t Oswald the first time, either.

This. Shooting a stray bullet towards a family home with little children is a thug piece of shiit move that deserves a long prison sentence.

The damage looks like a tear, not a hole.
Maybe a potato gun?

stevej37 12-01-2023 10:48 AM

^^^ I was also thinking it couldn't have been a normal gun. 18 inch hole and the thing toppled way too fast for a gunshot.

- I can't help but feel sorry for anyone who would do such a thing.

Meanwhile I always invite the single people I know for Christmas to my house and I make sure I have a present for them. The look on their faces (as I give them their gift) is reward enough for me. Last Christmas my German GF started to cry (she's lives on her own in Australia). She'll be invited again this year. :)

Happy early Christmas to my Pelican family. SmileWavy

Thank you and Merry Christmas Peter.

I My guess is that the gun caused the fabric to "pop" (tear) on either entrance or exit (since it was pressurized).

Not exactly the same, but many years ago, I shot a can of coca cola with a pellet gun. The back of the can had a small exit hole the size of the pellet, but the front of the can split from top to bottom. I don't have a photo, but this is very similar to what mine looked like with the pellet traveling from right to left.

Pellet gun.

Leo will be pulling cell phone records for that whole area to geotrack everyone in and out of the neighborhood.

the pop in the video seemed pretty loud for a pellet gun, but maybe the pop was actually the 18" split in the santa. And I haven't watched the video in several days, but I don't remember seeing a flash in the car.

Arizona_928 12-02-2023 09:22 AM

lol. I just watched the video.

The windows don’t appear to be down.

No bullet hit the house.

Change in pressure/thermal fracture from the car causing failure of the ccp fabic.

I guess he went to the local news when the police said their wasn’t a crime.

Spreading fear…

Looks like the windows were closed to me as well. You can see the street light reflect in both of the door windows. The pop sounds more like the Santa popping than a gun, too. No evidence shown of an "exit wound."

Looks like coinkidink.

Zeke 12-02-2023 12:16 PM

Yep. Just looked at it in slow mo. Definitely edited as the car just passed the frame where the headlights blinded the camera. You guys are sharp as the window reflection was not interrupted from A pillar on back.

stevej37 12-02-2023 12:16 PM

So...the second shooter theory still stands? :D

Steve Carlton 12-02-2023 12:33 PM

I'm thinking Santa was too full of gas.

Zeke 12-02-2023 12:35 PM

Well, the Santa did fall over but didn't immediately deflate. The next shot shows an 18" rip on a seam. Now that would deflate pretty fast whereas a bullet hole would almost be compensated for air loss by the pump.

So I call fake — no shooter. Something let the air out, that's all that is certain.

There is a possibility that a projectile actually increased the internal pressure and blew out the seam as masraum said. Maybe that seam was facing the ground and didn't allow a lot of air flow. It boils down to who knows?

I can't believe I'm spending time on this but it looks like someone could be yanking a chain and they are talking guns, bullets and drive bys which is serious siht. Or maybe not.

stevej37 12-02-2023 12:39 PM

We may never know....it's a giant conspiracy. :)

Bill Douglas 12-02-2023 01:28 PM

He may have split his pants laughing.
