How about HYBRID Cayennes?

Anyone have experience with hybrid P-car stuff?

i.e. Extra costs associated, etc?

If I buy a 4 year old hybrid Cayenne am I asking for it? (any more than I'm asking for it already buying a car almost out of warranty)

Do these things puke their battery at some point like other hybrids?

TIA

Porrius?

Yes a coworker had 3 battery packs in his porrius, thus the battery questions!

I suspect the car has a longer warranty on the battery pack- would that cover your term of ownership? I have no idea of the overall reliability of those rigs. What are the pros?

The early ones are a liability. I strongly considered one a year ago. It was a pleasure to drive but posting here and talking to a Porsche tech convinced me to run faster than humanly possible.

Our friends had an early one. Run forest, run.

Buy a Lexus hybrid instead

From what I have read online and other forums the Toyota/Lexus hybrid systems are the benchmark . They seem to have all the bugs worked out both the engineering and the software . Plus the battery technology .

With Porsche you are talking about a $$$ vehicle with an added $$$ system . I am not convinced that they have the longevity of their Asian competitors . Regardless of brand check out the prices for replacement batteries and associated hybrid system parts ........ yikes !

I've posted this before. A friend bought a used Panamera Hybrid. Luckily with a CPO warranty. It was probably around a 2016-2018? Long story short, after many trips to the dealership to deal with issues related to the hybrid system, they bought the car back from him.

Well I'm gonna call that a consensus thank you fellas
