Dumb/Easy Outlook.com Question
I am trying to use Outlook.com to view/send my Gmail account. System is Windows 10 Home.
I am able to compose and send from my Gmail address in outlook.com, but none of my historical or new Gmail messages are showing in the outlook.com Inbox. I feel like this is something simple that I am missing, but can't figure it out. Any thoughts? JA

Correct pop server name? Correct password for it?
Edit: Ignore me, I don't know. |

Apparently with the web version of outlook, you used to be able to add "Connected Accounts", but no longer. So you just have to forward it from G-Mail.
But when I add the outlook email account to Gmail and tell it to forward, Gmail says account not found. I am on the Microsoft forum as well seeing if anyone there knows what's going on. It's particularly weird because I am able to send from my G-mail e-mail address in outlook! We'll see.

Been working fine. I use Chrome.

LMAO!
That's great! Using a webpage to access email from another webpage seems odd to me.

Outlook really and truly does suck. Frankly, most of Microsoft does in my opinion, with the one exception of Excel. I have recently been assimilated to the onedrive cloud version of all of the applications for home use, since I don't have an MS Office license, and maybe I am just too old, but the cloud-based application and file storage is just so clunky for EVERYTHING, with the exception of inherently having auto backup.
Anyway, I digress. And I also agree with Steve's comment regarding using a web page (Outlook web) to access another web page (GMail Web), seems to make little sense, but I just HATE the Gmail Webmail interface. In 2023, it just seems that what I am trying to do would be SO simple. I'm not sure why G-Mail is not able to send (forward) my e-mail to Outlook. And actually, I am not getting ANY of my e-mail coming into Outlook online, so that forwarding function is just not working. Again, not sure why, but it appears to be related to the Outlook.com e-mail address. JA

The old (15 year ago) outlook web sucked so bad that I configured a SquirrelMail instance on a VPS pointing to the IMAP interface our ITS department exposed just for my own personal use...
