Show your workbench you created.

I've had four so far, but most all had 90 degree, or right angle posts.

I made one today without the right angle posts.

I added two ledgers to the wall. Bottom 96" and top 93".

I like the idea of not having posts that impede moving around the garage.

-Top ledger -I attached the two perpendicular end pieces before I anchored it to the wall.

-I then added the bottom ledger

-For the angle, notched the bottom and followed the angle it created when it meet the two perpendicular sides

-I screwed the angle piece to the side, then cut them off to mirror the sides.

My cut off had enough length and proper angle to work for the second angle side.

I was building a small table visible on the floor at an early stage.

I like having the shelf under my workbench, so I can store more stuff. 😂

I just bought that drill press and need to not only fix it up, but find a place I can use it.

Flatbutt, I may add some peg board, I've always had some in the past. Still thinking about that. Yours looks mature for sure. I like the fit of the tool chest underneath. My tool chest is just too high with the rollers

I had the chest before the bench so I could build it to fit. I added the second shelf under the bench after I went nuts during a DeWalt sale. :D

I'll have a small shelf underneath, the 2x4 wood is just filler for now.

It looks great. I think you might consider using some 1/4 or 5/16 lag bolts to tie it into the studs and a couple 3/8 carriage bolts at the top where the diagonal pieces meet the horizontal pieces. 4 drywall screws ain’t much…

I agree, I added have four lags in the top and bottom ledger, but yes I will beef it up, thanks!

Would you go more than four? In the centers (ledgers) I just used drywall screws

I built this last year. I wanted to be able to move it around the garage. Note the retractable wheels. I also added a lower shelf (not shown). The top is a HD butcher-block piece. With three coats of urethane. Vice bolted to T nuts.

I tend to go for heavy support on ledgers. I agree that some lag bolts into the studs would be good.

I made a couple of these for my hangar.
Instead of the standard two foot bench, I ripped a sheet of 3/4 into three foot and one foot.
Still have two feet of work space, with cubbies I find useful.
The one foot rip becomes the top shelf

My other work benches use solid core doors I found at Habitat for Humanity's Re-Store.
They have wheels so they can be reconfigured easily for various airplane projects.

I've posted this before - built it about 25 years ago and it took 3rd place in a woodworking show.

^^^ that looks great. You only need one carriage bolt per side. Shear should be ~2000 lbs each (assuming 3/8 bolts) but it wouldn’t fail in pure shear anyway.
