Fender Super Strat Thread
 

I thought it would be fun to start a super strat thread for those who play or have owned a Fender or Squire super strat.

These tend to be the “black sheep” of the strat community however I have a special weakness for any circa 1970s or 1980s home built Fender super strat with period Floyd Rose or Floyd Rose II.

Anyhow here is one of the 30 I currently own…

Back in the 1980s I played a lot mainly jazz and blues and even with a little band then other things. A couple years ago I decided to try again and after a bit I bought a Squier Strat when a local San Diego shop had them 25% off. After a bit I did a little work and installed a set of gold Lace Sensor pickups and the Fender/Eric Clapton boost kit, what a difference.
Right now, I am working on a "CooderCaster" with Lollar pickups and a StewMac kit.
