Hey guys, thanks for your support. I spent all night tonight making a new trailer! Let me know what you think, please?

Like it...gives just enough to want to see more.

I liked both. I can say I know how much work that is.

THe original was good, but I think the new one is better.

I used better software (Davinci Resolve) instead of Microsoft Clipchamp (which was/is vastly inferior). I also got home here and used my new Alienware computer to run the software with 32 GB, so that certainly helped. Clipchamp choked on nearly all my videos, and Davinci worked well. I made most of the clips quicker and shorter, and tried to get the flow a bit better. Modelling it after the Grand Tour previews!

Thanks for all the kind words - tell your friends!

I like it. It has a "we're having fun and don't take ourselves too seriously (but we're not artificially acting like we're not trying to take ourselves too seriously)" vibe. If you guys are mostly trying to make each other crack up, it comes through as fun and authentic chemistry.

I'm a big fan of subtle running gags, so I love the recurring theme of stickers make the car go faster. Those kinds of things provide glue and give a show personality.

I still remember 959 runs up and down Angeles Forest near Mt Emma Road on New Years Day many years ago. Glad you hung on the the car.

Best wishes!

I'm one of two blurs in the background of that video - not sure which. That was when you gave Chris (procupine911) a ride. Amazing the irrelevant stuff that sticks in the memory files...

Don't recall exactly - I can't recall what I had for breakfast yesterday!

Trying a bit too hard to be like Seinfeld’s Cars and Coffee.

astrochex 01-12-2024 09:41 AM

I like the new trailer better. Crisp and funny, better story about The Valve Guides (Guyds)?

Maybe back off a little on the sticker thing, it could get tired fast.

Not really. I've only seen one or so episode of that show. We're just doing what comes naturally to us. If that seems like that other show, then that's mere coincidence. If I recall correctly, that show really had nothing to do with cars?

I tried to watch an episode of that, but like you, I discovered that it was mostly the folks talking with almost nothing to do with the cars. Maybe I picked the wrong one to watch.

Great videos. And wow, even Wayne’s 959 has a drip pan under it - guess I should give up all hope on chasing down the last leak on my measley 911T lol
