Guenther Steiner gone? Did I read that right?
Going to miss hearing him "telling it like it is" with lots of thunder and lightening. Haas
will never be the same. Only 50 days to next race. Hope things start happening soon. |
I wonder if they consulted with Netflix before doing it. lol
|
Yep, correct and their Technical Director, Simon Resta has left the team too!
Not worked with Gunther but Simone is very capable technically, great manager, managed to keep me under control and happy :D best boss I've had  Wish him all the best for the future, he'll either end up at Sauber or back at Ferrari ;) |
Gunther Steiner no longer with Haas
Apparently Gene Haas decided to not resign Gunther so he's out .

Probably tired of hearing "I don't know Gene, I'll get to the bottom of this. F'king wankers".
|
F1 can't really afford to loose these characters like Guenther, or even more so
Kimi Raikkonen. We'll have to make due with Lando for now. Just saying. Martin Brundle is another, I really like his grid walks, he's a good sport. Lately it's been the only interesting bits before race time. Back in the day, years and years ago we had the one and only Murray Walker for entertainment. |

BBC article, only statements from HAAS nothing from Guenther |
Could someone smarter than me translate this statement from the Motorsport article?
The team says that Komatsu will be responsible for the team’s strategy and on-track performance. In a statement, it noted that he will have “a brief to maximise the team’s potential through employee empowerment and structural process and efficiency.” |

To me it sounds like "I'm paying you big money, get to work"

Things change...
I still have some 2023 races to finish watching and many seasons of the Netflix show, as I am only halfway through season 2. One of my HS and college friends has a grown son that is now a part-owner of an F1 team, so I will route for that team no matter what. Let's see how this sport evolves as we head toward mid-century. |
